Alan Gooch

Executive Director

Alan has been with Orlando Sports Foundation since the beginning in 2007 and helped bring OSF to life. As a UCF alumni and former UCF Football coach, sports and football are near and dear to him. He has found a way to incorporate what he loves, sports, and also help others by raising awareness and funds for cancer research.

Matt Stover

Associate Director

An Orlando native and University of Central Florida alum, Matt joined the Orlando Sports Foundation staff in 2015 and oversees the Cure Bowl’s day-to-day ticket sales and operations. Before joining the Orlando Sports Foundation staff, he worked for the UCF Athletics Association in various roles.

Mark Line

Director of Cure All Star Events and Community Relations

Mark organizes and manages the Cure Bowl All-Stars events for the Orlando Sports Foundation. The purpose of the events is to bring players from local high schools together for two Cure All-Star games, a Cure Rising All-Stars Combine, and a Cure Recruiting Fair. The Events have been successful in generating student-athlete scholarship interest from colleges and universities throughout the county as well as bringing Cancer Research awareness to the high school communities.

The first Cure All-Star Baseball game was played last spring with plans for a complimentary Cure All-Star Women’s Softball Game in 2023.

Mark also organizes the outreach Free Mammogram Program and the Clean Up 4 Cure annual event for residents of the Historic Parramore District.

Kelly Walston

Controller/Business Operations/ HR

Kelly joined the team in May 2017 and manages accounting and certain HR functions. She is a CPA with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and an MBA from Central Florida. Although she has experience working with some of the largest companies in Central Florida, including CNL and HD Supply, as a Controller, she has found a new passion for working for non-profits. Kelly lives with her husband, Jack, son, Jack III, and daughter, Maddie.

Nathan Blythe

Media Relations

Nate joined the Orlando Sports Foundation in July 2018 after helping launch the inaugural 2015 AutoNation Cure Bowl as a media relations manager. He oversees the Cure Bowl’s day-to-day public relations and communications responsibilities, as well as media operations. The UCF graduate earned an Information Technology degree in 2009 and later worked in the UCFAA Athletics Communications department. He served three years in the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Media Relations office and earned his Masters in Business Administration in 2012. Nate also worked in the Campbell Athletics Media Services department and has assisted at the Bahamas Bowl and Battle 4 Atlantis Men’s Basketball Tournament as a statistics coordinator.

Joe Hierholzer

Director of Internal Operations

Joe is a passionate sports professional dedicated to fan engagement and community impact. From 2017 to 2021, Joe brought energy and excitement to the University of Central Florida as Knightro, the UCF mascot. This unique role sparked his enthusiasm for using sports as a platform to bring people together and make a difference.

Joe earned his MBA and Master’s in Sport Business Management from UCF’s DeVos Sport Business Management Program, where he honed his skills in event planning, leadership, and organizational strategy. Since 2018, Joe has proudly served as the Cure Bowl mascot, CB, and now plays a pivotal role on the team, overseeing volunteer coordination, mascot operations, and the execution of impactful events.

Madison Mehringer

External Operations & Communications Coordinator

Madison joined the Orlando Sports Foundation in August 2024. She is a 4-year 2024 national champion UCF Cheerleading Team member. She graduated in May of 2024 with a major in Human Communications on the business & professional track. Madison is a former intern at the UCF Athletics Marketing & Brand Experience Department. She also works at one of the most respected cheerleading gyms in the world, Top Gun Orlando. She has an abundance of experience with social media promotions, marketing, advertising, and brand partnerships. She is passionate about creativity, sports, fan engagement, customer connection, and event innovation. Madison works as the Development and Marketing Assistant.
